Hi Hi Hi

Been a while since I have made it over here to blog, thought I would get over here and blog something.

Just been real life busy, seems like my RL has been more exciting than my SL..which is good! RL should be as good or better than SL. It has been a long time since my RL was better than my SL.

I love living in Hawaii and having perfect weather day after day. I have loved living with Nite and getting to know the person he really is. He is just an amazing man. I have never met someone that has so much stability. The days when things get hard on me are the days he comes along, and encourages everything I do with out critisism, just old fashion encouragement.

My favorite times here have not been doing things in Hawaii, it has been laughing with Nite and his daughter. There are times that he and his daughter make me laugh so hard. Laughing is such great medicine, and I cant seem to get enough!

I know, I know, I seem to always be talking about Nite and how great he is, I guess it is because I want the world to know, how happy I am and how much I love being with someone that loves me with out question!

SL was such a great venue to meet someone. I think the communication aspect of SL is way better than just being friends in RL because you HAVE to communicate with each other through chat and voice. To me, chat allowed me to say things that maybe I wouldnt have said on voice.

The great thing about Nite is that when we were in SL together it was just good times spent with a good man that I cherish!

Whats in a name...

As I entered Second Life today, I remembered back on picking a name for Second Life. I chose my clown name "Olive Eue" and of course SL chose our last names...therefore I have a last name no one can spell or say lol.. When I met Nite, his name freaked me out, "Nitestalker Backbite" I told him that too, I cant take you home to mom with a name like that... he then explained to me that it had to do with his job and I felt lots better lol. As the years in SL have progressed to where I have met so many people with so many different and unusual names. I have found that a lot of people that have come to SL for social reasons have funny , cute or goofy names. People that seem to have come to SL for business reasons have names that are more like RL, and then there are those of us that came for the social and started businesses and here we are with our unusual name (tongue and cheek)to do business with.

I find that our names so reflect our personalities, well almost all of them. It seems that we pick names that have certain meaning to us, or have affected our life one way or another.

The one thing I do know is since I have met Nite his name was always Nite. I call him Nite regulary instead of his RL name, I guess cause that is what I have always known him as... My Nite in shining armor!!

4th and what it really means

I spent the 4th of July at the PX painting faces. I did about 30 faces and boy were my feet hurting... As I finished up a soldier approached me and told me that he was leaving the army due to medical reasons and was looking to do something in the entertainment field.

I was both honored and humbled that a soldier would seek me out and ask if he could work for me.

As I spoke with Andy and cleaned up with Nite's help and getting ready to go to the 4th of July spectacular at Schofield Barracks. I said goodbye to Andy and we loaded the car.

We began walking over to Sills Field that I realized that I was spending the 4th of July at a Military Base.

I really began thinking about how we civilians have no idea what these guys have and are doing for us.

The ceremonies were all day. Billy Ray Cyrus performed a concert late in the afternoon we arrived as it got to be dusk and Billy Ray was finished performing they began ceremonies. They honored soldiers, remembered our fallen soldiers, did some promotions and then they did the ceremony that really affected my heart. The ceremony was "The flags we follow" this ceremony was taking us from 1776 to present and the flags that the united states had and has. It was a poem that read the events that made this country what it is. I was really humbled by what I heard, what I saw as the soldiers walked the flags across the stage.

After the ceremony of the flags was over the army band played and they had two men that sang very moving songs. I didn't even realize one of the songs was about a soldier in Iraq. "I'm already there".

I had a lot more respect for the women that support their husbands while they are off fighting for our freedom and to know the children make big sacrifices as well.

I want to thank our soldiers for fighting for our freedom AND I am greatful that I get to see first hand what it means to see these soldiers daily go to work and prepare for leaving to go to Iraq or Afganistan. I am so greatful for Nite and I love him with all my heart and soul. He is the finest man I have ever known. He has incredible integrity and loyalty to his family and friends. I am honored to be with this man... I love you Nite! your my hero!

Getting back in the swing of things!

Almost a month since my last blog...must be from too much fun in Hawaii. Its been two months since I arrived in Hawaii. I love Hawaii, but the biggest reason that I chose to move to Hawaii, was and is my best friend.

I have learned to live again and learned how to be awakened. I love Hawaii, I love that things progressed from SL to RL and have added an amazing chapter to my life!

I have been learning about the things to stop and smell the roses about, the things to laugh about again and the small...hey I love you things that happen every day.

I am getting back into RL clowning. I used to do that full time and because of various medical issues, I haven't done clowning in almost 4 years. Being with Nite has allowed me the freedom and the great awakening to get back to clowning.

I am going to be performing at the Stadium in Honolulu on Saturday and Sundays and the local PX on the military base during the week.

I am loving this chapter in my life and being with Nite for the last 2.5 years in SL as just very good friends has just added so many dimensions to RL. It has just made SL so real by moving things as friends into RL.

His daughter is an amazing young lady with a dynamic magnetic personality and I have loved learning about her, laughing with her and listening to what makes her happy or sad.

Small delay on returning to Second Life

Our internet has had a small interuption. I will be back in game as soon as I have internet access :)

Update on what I have been up to!!

Seems like I fell off the SL grid. I really have not, just took some much needed time off and actually did something very exciting for myself for the first time in a long time. March 3rd I left Charlotte and ventured to Hawaii. I got to meet my friend Nite for the first time in 2.5 years since I met him in Second Life...Sometimes you wonder if people are like they are in SL...Well no more wondering...Meeting Nite was the best thing I could have done. He is more amazing than when I talked to him in SL or Yahoo! HE is a man that I admire and respect more than anyone I know. I am grateful to have a friend like this in my life!

Island Update

Hey Hey Good News...

I have officially sold both islands. Smallville Village was sold to Kris Spade and Gemini Enfield. Masquerade Island was sold to Love Brokken and Niecee Morenz. I will be refunding all rents this weekend. You do not have to remove any items. I am wanting you all to be able to pay rent to the new rental boxes so I will be refunding. Love and Niecee will be sending out a notice about when and how they are going to be remodeling the island.

I will still be around SL, just focusing more on the VWBB after April of 2007. In the next few months I am going to embarking on an adventure of a life time with my dear RL roomate Alex Winnfield. I again want to thank everyone of you for helping me accomplish my goals in SL

I will be taking a semi leave of absence to prepare for my RL adventure.

Love you all and thank you all for adding to the greatness of my Second Life!

Happy Valentines Day

Valentine's Day
is a holiday celebrated on February 14. In North America and Europe, it is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other by sending Valentine's cards, presenting flowers, or offering confectionery. The holiday is named after two early Christian martyrs named Valentine. The day became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished.

History

Numerous early Christian martyrs were named Valentine. Until 1969, the Catholic Church formally recognized eleven Valentine's Days. The Valentines honored on February 14 are:

The Catholic Encyclopedia also speaks of a third saint named Valentine who was mentioned in early martyrologies under date of 14 February. He was martyred in Africa with a number of companions, but nothing more is known about him.

Some sources say the Valentine linked to romance is Valentine of Rome, others say Valentine of Terni.[citation needed] Some scholars (such as the Bollandists[citation needed]) have concluded that the two were originally the same person. In any case, no romantic elements are present in the original Early Medieval biographies of either of these martyrs.

An overview of attested traditions relevant to the holiday is presented below, with the legends about Valentine himself discussed in the end.

All that glitters is not gold...continued

Apparently there is some confusion from my All That Glitters Post. I just wanted to make sure that everyone that reads the posts understands that if I am referring to my self in any post I will state that.

Usually when I write in general I will never use peoples names just out of respect, unless of course, I have gotten their permission.

I can tell you that I have only met a few people from SL and the last time I met anyone in RL from SL was approximately 4 months ago and that was my special little Mattie. I was able to meet her in Oklahoma where my son was attending and graduating from boot camp.

I have not met any new friends from SL in RL...

Dear Friends of Smallville Village and Masquerade Island,

over the last 6 months I have been dealing with some serious RL situations and illnesses.

SL has been my saving grace over the last 2 years. I have to make some decisions about removing some of the stressful areas in my life.

I have found buyers for each of the islands and will reveal the names of the new owners when the sales are complete.

Both parties have assured me that they will attempt to keep the islands similar to what they are now, basically, kids oriented sims or family environment.

once the islands have officially sold, I will be refunding everyones land purchase prices at 10L per meter, that way if the new owner needs to resell the plots you can give him/her the funds.

I thank you all for all the support you have given me through out my SL.

National Corn Chip Day

When : Always January 29th

National Corn Chip Day celebrates the Corn Chip. Fifty years ago, few Americans knew what Corn Chips were. Today, most American can not imagine life without this tasty, crunchy holder of salsa, cheese and (mostly) mexican dips. Its even sprinkled atop salads, making salads even more crunchy.

On National Corn Chip Day, enjoy eating one of your favorite snacks. And, take our Corn Chip challenge....eat corn chips for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks today! I don't know about you. But, I will find that easy to do.

Did You Know? Fritos Corn Chips were first marketed in 1961.

Origin of National Corn Chip Day:

Who created this day and when remains a crunchy question.

All That Glitters Is Not Gold

Wow been a while, sorry about the long delay in posting. I love this title..."All That Glitters Is Not Gold" I wrote a dinner murder mystery when I owned my entertainment company called "All That Glitters Is Not Gold" This applies to so much in life. People in SL become people they aren't in RL and that is the beauty of SL. People that are sick in RL can dance in SL. People that are shy in RL or outgoing in SL. SL is such a great tool for so many things... as with all good things we still have the downside of things. People that you have known for months and years in SL and you finally meet them in RL and the bottom drops out cause they aren't what you thought.

Interesting that we can communicate and basically do nothing but communicate and connect intellectually but when we meet in RL that isn't there? How can that be or how can that happen? Are our AV's that much of an influence on our perception of someone? Are we just superficial?

I don't know, everyone I have met in RL has been the same as they have been in world or actually even more fun. It was just an added fringe benefit to meet them in RL.
